Fenugreek seeds, also known as methi, is a herb that is used for cooking or for medicinal purposes for centuries, it has a maple syrup taste and smell to it.

The reason why fenugreek seeds have positive effects on hair can be because the seeds have a high protein and nicotinic acid content and this slows down the ability of DHT to attach to your hair follicles, DHT- dihydrotestosterone is a chemical in the body that if it attaches itself to your hair follicle it will cause hair loss, another cause for hair loss can be dandruff and irritation to the scalp. So if you are suffering from hair loss, scalp irritation, dandruff, flakes and baldness try using these seeds.

Fenugreek seeds also stimulate the blood circulation. If you want a healthy head of hair, a proper blood circulation is key. The anagen phase is the active growth state, during this phase the hair grows about a half of an inch every 28 days.

Fenugreek seeds are rich with vitamin C and vitamin K, which lightens the skin and gives the skin a beautiful glow, it also reduces dark spots, scars and blemishes on the skin.

The seeds also work as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and as an antioxidant, which is good for treating acne, eczema and psoriasis. People suffering from acne even said that fenugreek seeds cured their acne, so, it’s definitely worth the try.

Fenugreek seeds slow down your aging process, the seeds are saturated with compounds, this keeps your skin looking young and wrinkle free for a long time.

The seeds can be used to exfoliate the skin, when you make a scrub out of it, it will remove dead skin, and it will reduce excess oil from the skin, or use it as a cleanser.

# Soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a cup of (boiled) water
# Let it sit overnight
# In the morning, strain and drink the water

Fenugreek Seeds Scrub
# Soak the seeds in boiled water
# Mix the seeds with (raw) milk and oats into a paste
#If you want, you can add a little rosewater to the paste
# Massage your face with the paste
# Was your face with lukewarm water

Fenugreek Mask for Acne and dark circles
# Soak the seeds in water
# Let it sit overnight
# Make a paste out of the seeds
# Apply paste to your face and let it sit for 15 minutes
# Wash your face

Fenugreek Face wash
# Boil the fenugreek seeds for 15 minutes in water
# Strain the water en let it cool down
# Apply the water with a cotton ball over your face, and let it dry

Fenugreek mask for hair loss prevention
# Soak the seeds in water
# Let it sit overnight
# Blend the seeds with lemon juice and the soaked water
# Apply the hair mask on your hair and let it sit for 15 minutes
# Rinse off with water

Fenugreek hair mask for dandruff
# Soak the seeds in boiling water for 15 minutes
# Mix the seeds with yogurt into a paste
# Apply the paste on your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes
# Rinse off with water
